Dayside
Today Monica made her television debut on Fox News on a show called Dayside. She was on almost the entire hour as she was seated just behind the host of the show, and she even got to ask a question! Pretty cool if you ask me…my wife, the TV star.

House
And there’s another anniversary today. No, I’m not talking about this one, although that is very cool. I’m talking about our first house. It was one year ago today, that we signed the documents and became homeowners. It was quite a big step for us, and it’s not exactly comforting sitting in a room with…

Newlyweds no more
Man oh man, I cannot believe that it’s been two years since we were married. So much has changed since then. We’re in a new town, new job, new school, new car…well, just about new everything. [now for the mushy stuff] And I have somehow managed to find new love for my wife. I’m incredibly…

I am not a gardener
My Dad gave me some veggies from his garden yesterday, and we enjoyed some of them in a salad today. He’s a regular farmer with his monster garden, with his rows upon rows of vegetables. He could put Del Monte out of business. Meanwhile we’re chugging along with one radish and one green pepper. I…

It’s not the heat
More hot and humid weather today as we spent a great deal of it outside at a picnic. This weather pattern we’re in right now is crazy. We just get pounded with fierce storms on a daily basis with plenty of heavy downpours, lightning, and thunder. Jack absolutely loves it.

300

God is bowling
Ever slept through hours and hours of pounding rain, lightning, and thunder? Neither have we. Last night we had possibly the greatest thunderstorm ever, and that’s saying a lot coming from someone who’s lived in Florida previously. I can’t be certain, but the storm appeared to last at least five hundred hours. In between buckets…

Muggy
We’ve finally arrived to those summer days when walking outside feels as if you just fell into a big bowl of sweat. You stick to everything and everything sticks to you. Yuck.

Don and Mike
Back when we lived in Northern Virginia, Monica and I used to listen to a radio show called the Don and Mike Show. I started listening to the show about nine years ago and was quickly hooked, and Monica started listening not too long after that. It’s hard to describe why I listened as much…

Jim Cantore loves the weather
I spent much of today watching the Weather Channel, and their continuing coverage of the famous Hurricane Dennis. They do know their stuff, but it’s a bit odd to see them so pumped over a potentially catastrophic and deadly storm. You can tell some of them get really excited over it, especially Jim Cantore, who…
