A giant gorilla and a birthday

So, did anyone see us on Dayside? It was a jolly good time, and I even got to ask a question. I’m not entirely sure why I asked the question that I did, but I just wanted to get on television so I got the job done. The set looks much smaller in person that it does on TV, and it’s pretty interesting to see how a show gets made. There’s a lot going on during the commercials, and it seems like one big controlled mess, but everything comes together when it counts.

We’ve headed downtown the last couple of days doing some shopping and seeing various sites. We even ate at an official New York diner.

And then last night, Monica and I finally saw King Kong. I have to say, I thought it was a great movie. It took a bit to get going at first, but Peter Jackson did a great job with Kong. His eyes were so expressive, and the relationship between Kong and Anne was so well done. It was so good that we hardly noticed the three hour length which reiterates how great a movie it is.

Tonight, we’re off to Radio City Music Hall to see the Radio City Christmas Spectacular starring the Rockettes. After that we’re headed to
