Wow, we’re actually doing pretty well over there in Athens. Not that we usually do bad in the Olympics, but Paul Hamm winning a gold medal in the men’s gymnastics all-around, the first in like….EVER…is really something.
I’m really enjoying the coverage. What I do is TiVo just about every second of coverage and then watch it in the evenings while working around the house. I fast forward through alot of it, but it lets me see some of the events you won’t normally see on NBC during primetime such as archery, fencing, trap shooting, air rifle, table tennis, water polo, badminton, and everyone’s favorite, synchronized diving.
Synchronized diving? Who thought that one up? How long before there’s a synchronized version of every event? Synchronized basket weaving, anyone?

It’s all but tainted gold in the men’s overall! And Paul Hamm’s tainted gold is … you guessed it … TAINTED GLORY!
Don’t you just hate it when the American’s are all furiously mad when they are cheated of victory and want
injustice rectified right away.
I feel so sorry for the Koreans. They have been cheated of past victories. Not only that, the USA Gymnastics president says it’s their fault because they didn’t complain on time.
To be fair, other gymnasts such as McClure were cheated as well. He received a higher initial score during the team competition than he did during the all-around for the EXACT SAME ROUTINE.

here is protocol that must be followed if you suspect an injustice has occurred, and the Koreans didn’t follow it. Yes, it does suck, but it should not affect Paul Hamm. If anything, they should share the gold medal.
It isn’t just the Americans that get angry when cheating occurs. Remember the pairs figure skating debacle in the Winter Olympics?
