So we’ve seen two movies recently. One, the last part of a much-hyped trilogy and the other, another clone of those ever popular British-romantic comedies. No, the second one was not my choice.
If you haven’t guessed already, the first movie I’m talking about is Matrix Revolutions. Everyone’s been waiting since the spring to see how this story was going to end, and there’s been much speculation about Neo and the gang and just how the heck did Neo control those machines outside of the matrix at the end of Reloaded. I had avoided the spoilers as I wanted to be surprised in the theater. So what did I think?
Eh, it was ok.
I’m not going to spoil anything here for those that haven’t seen it, but feel free to discuss anything in the comments. Basically, not all of my questions were answered. I understand that some things are ok left unsaid, but, come on, you have to explain some stuff.
Now, onto that other movie I mentioned earlier. It was called Love Actually, and Monica loved it. So what did I think?
Eh, it was ok.
I can’t believe I just had the same response to Matrix Revolutions and Love Actually. The movie was enjoyable on some levels which means it wasn’t totally awful. What more can you ask from a movie today? There aren’t many movies that really blow you away anymore, so if you feel as if you didn’t waste your time or money, I say you’re coming out ahead. I don’t plan on making it a habit of seeing these types of movies though. 😉
