So there’s a hurricane coming. Isabel. That’s a good-sounding hurricane name.
There was a hurricane last week or so called Henri. That doesn’t sound like a life-threatening storm at all…more like a chef at a snooty restaurant who has a big nose and loves to shout, “Sacre bleu!”. I don’t think any hurricanes should have french names.
So I think the folks down in Chesapeake are preparing for the worst (as are we)…gallons of water and oodles of canned goods. I hope the people down in the Outer Banks are doing the same as they usually bear the brunt of these monsters.

I lived through Gloria back in 1985, and the worst thing that happened was a bone-shaking crash as a tree fell on our house. Here’s hoping that’s still my worst hurricane memory after Isabel passes.
