Well, the summer is almost over. Children are going back to school, the sunrise is a little later each day and soon we will start to feel that wonderful chill in the air. All of these things can only mean one thing…football season.
From fantasy football leagues, the Hokies and Monday night football, I don’t think I will see my new husband again until after the Super Bowl. Brian says the main reason we got married in the summer is because it did not interfere with any football. From now until February, Saturday errands or activities will have to be scheduled around Hokie games, going out to dinner must be at restaurants with lots of TVs and the ride home from church on Sundays will win any Nascar race.
To all the ladies out there who know what I am talking about I just want you to know, you are not alone. Here’s to another football season.

Don’t let her fool you, folks…Monica loves football. She can’t get enough of the Hokies and whatever NFL game is on TV. She’s constantly asking me how my fantasy football teams are doing; it’s really about time she got her own team.
She forgot to mention that she’s the one who normally drives home from church.
Any cheerleading I may do is for the benefit of having some sort of communication. Maybe I should have my own team….How great would it be if I actually won??!!! That could be grounds for divorce!! (he, he)
The only “D” word that matters is D-Fence!
Speaking of D-Fence, do the Hokies have any this year?
Oh, that was a low blow. You know they were tough last year until injuries caused the late season swoon. But the “D” is back this year better than ever!
