Our thoughts and prayers go out to those people affected by the recent terrorist attack in Spain, undoubtedly the entire country.

Maybe now, more countries will wake up to the fact that the war on terrorism and islamofacism isn’t a purely American war, it is a global one – one in which we must prevail.

Wow, did this year fly by. So another year comes to a close, one in which we finally got married, which assures that we will not forget this year any time soon if at all.

Not the greatest of year for the Hokies, but certainly a great one for Bush and the people of Iraq. Saddam certainly won’t forget this year, that’s for sure.

Don’t forget to check out the photos of our last trip of the year to Mount Vernon.

We’re off to ring in the new year with friends tonight. Everyone stay safe and have fun. See you next year!

Well, of course the big news of the day is the capture of Saddam Hussein.

Woohoo!!! Score one for the good guys!!!

This is a great day for our country and our military. I hope that this accomplishment will give some comfort to our troops overseas that have to spend the holidays away from home.

Great job, guys! We’re all proud of you!!!

I’m not exactly sure what to put here today, the second anniversary of the most awful of days. I took some pictures from when Monica and I were in New York City for Thanksgiving in 2001.

We must never forget 9/11.

However painful it might be, we must relive the horrific images from that day, continue the fight against fundamentalist Islam that warped men’s minds into doing the unthinkable, and remember the heroes who ultimately turned a day of tragedy into a day to be proud to be an American.

* Note – Be sure to turn your speakers on . You will need the flash player for some of these sites. Some of the pages are rather large and will take a little while to load.

Been relatively quiet the last couple of days. Just work, work, and more work. I’ve been tweaking the site here and there, and I’ve set Monica up to be able to post entries here as well so look for that anytime now.

I know all the latest entries have mentioned the war in Iraq, but it’s pretty important, you know? I listen to the news every day, and according to them, we are losing this war. Are they nuts? We are so far ahead of the game, especially compared to the first Gulf conflict. The only people who ever said this was going to be quick was the media, and now they’re poo-pooing the fact that it may take longer than they first predicted. Meanwhile, Bush & Co. haven’t changed their tune about what a long, tough fight it’s going to be (relatively speaking, it certainly won’t be as long as Vietnam).

POWs and casualities today over in Iraq. The reality of this whole thing has really started to set in. I’m all for this war and what we’re trying to do, but it really sucks to hear the bad news, inevitable as it may be. We really need to find our people, and stop those bastards from doing anymore to them. Finish the job, and come home safe, guys.

Watched the Oscars tonight, and it was pretty well done. There were a few mentions of “peace” and “these crazy time”, and the only real idiot of the bunch was Michael Moore. Man, this guy doesn’t deserve to breath the same air as honest Americans. He’s a disgrace. I will never watch anything associated with him. Ever.

Seems a shame to be focusing on basketball with everything else that’s going, but I thought you’d like to know that my NCAA brackets are shot to hell. Thanks for listening.

Once more unto the breach, dear friends, once more,
Or close the wall up with our English dead!
In peace there’s nothing so becomes a man
As modest stillness and humility;
But when the blast of war blows in our ears,
Then imitate the action of the tiger.

So the new design is up. I tried my darndest to not use any tables on the site (there were a ton before) and only use cascading style sheets. I couldn’t get rid of them entirely as I needed to use a couple for alignment of wrappable text. I think there are only three tables on the whole site (not too bad, eh?); everything else is done with style sheets. There is still more work to do as I plan on integrating movable type by this weekend.

March Madness is upon us! I’m participating in a couple of pools this year as well as running one in my office. I have yet to win one, but I have a feeling this year. Really, I do.

Want to know how an Iraqi feels about the impending war? Listen to this, little chirping bird.

In case you haven’t noticed, I’ve put up the new design. Unfortunately, I haven’t finished converting every page yet so you’ll notice some items missing from the navigation and the poll doesn’t currently function. I should be able to finish everything this evening so check back tonight or tomorrow for the completed redesign.

So it seems as if it’s about to “go down” in Iraq. I knew it was coming, but it just seemed eerie to hear the President actually say it last night. We are both totally behind our President and our troops on this issue…it must be done. God be with them.

On a lighter note, we’re going to Ozzfest! I was the tenth caller on WJFK this morning so I won free tickets. I don’t think there are many bands that are going to be there to whom we listen on a regular basis, but, what the heck, it’s Ozzy. And if we don’t feel like going, we’ll just sell them. Easy money.

Had a little adventure today when Monica locked her keys in her car. It was extra fun because she had no idea where her spare key is. AAA is king (a slow king, but still king).

Went to the doctor today, but all they gave me was medicine for my symptoms…no antibiotics. I understand that too many of those is bad for you in the long run, but I know this sinus infection is going to get worse, as usual, and I’ll need the antibiotics in a few days anyway. Oh well. *cough*

Made some more changes to the front page. There are now random photos that will appear above the blogs. I’m not sure if I’m done tinkering or not, but we’ll see.

That was some speech by Powell today, huh? You wanted evidence? Blammo, here’s enough for three Iraqs. Anyone that’s not behind us now is insane. Of course, France will still wuss out.
