Uploaded some more pics last night so most of them from the honeymoon are up now; just a few more to go. I remember looking through all of them when we had dinner with our friends, Mike and Laura, last week. We were still in a state of shock to be back home…especially after looking at the Maui pics.
Have I mentioned lately that we wish we were still there?

So it finally happened. The wedding day has come and gone, and now on to the honeymoon.
Just a quick note right now to say look at the wedding day photos. We’ll post more when we get back from Hawaii. See you in ten days (or so)!

We headed down to Palmyra (just outside of Charlottesville) to hang out with some friends for the Fourth of July. Thanks to the Samples for hosting the shindig and proving some good eats.
We grilled some food, drank some beers, and had a good time; we even had a rousing discussion about health care, terrorists, the Civil War, and the Constitution (thanks Munch).
In the evening, we walked down to Lake Monticello to watch the fireworks. Check out the pictures and movies.

We went up to Philadelphia on Saturday to visit some of Monica’s family: her uncle and his wife, her cousin and his wife and son, her second cousin, as well as her mom and brother.
It was a good visit as Monica hadn’t seen some of them in years, and they were meeting me for the first time. Of course, I’m so charismatic that they all liked me right way.

Hmmm…apparently, there’s a bug with the new version of the gallery software. You can look at the thumbnails in each album, but you can’t look at the full size pictures when you click on them. I hope to fix that ASAP.

Added a few more pictures from this morning. They still haven’t plowed our streets yet, and you can see how our cars are still buried. I spent this morning shoveling our walkway and sidewalk. It’s a ton of snow!
Dug our cars out this afternoon. Too bad Mr. Plow hasn’t come yet, so we’ll just have to dig them out again tomorrow. The good news is that the federal gov’t is closed tomorrow…which means no work for me! There’s no way I could even get out of our neighborhood anyway.

Wow! We have about a foot of snow so far, and it’s still coming down hard. Church was even cancelled this morning. Before it’s all over we could have twenty five inches! I’ve pointed the webcam out back so you can see just what we’ve got. I’ll post some pictures of all of this snow too.
Ok, here’s some pictures taken around 12:30 pm.
Looks as if we have over one and a half feet of snow right now with more on the way tonight. The snow is actually taller than Jack! I’ll take some more pictures tomorrow and really give you a sense of how much there is. Too bad we already had tomorrow off for President’s Day. What a waste of a holiday!
