We started this site in late 2002 as a way to share our lives with family and friends. As the years go by, we hope that you visit often and enjoy viewing our pictures, reading of our adventures, and being a part of our everyday lives. Most of what you’ll read here is written by Brian, so any time you see the word “I”, just imagine his voice in your head.
This site was designed using WordPress, PHP, and Perl with CSS used extensively (there are only two or three tables on the entire site). I have strived to make this site XHTML 1.0 Strict, which it is mostly, but unfortunately CSS compliance is something with which I’m still struggling as there are some hacks in my stylesheet to make them function in multiple browsers. Thank you very much, Internet Explorer.
This site’s design is based on K2 with some of my own modifications thrown in. I’ve spent countless hours in the past designing my own themes which have been showcased on this site, but once I found K2, I decided it was time to stop my own work and just go with it.
The menu is borrowed from Steve Gibson at grc.com. I found out about his all-CSS dropdown menus from the Security Now! podcast, so I checked it out and really liked it. I modified it for brimon.net and voila, instant very cool menu that works in all browsers.
