I forget to mention yesterday that we saw The Hulk. Monica totally did not want to see it and was convinced it was going to suck, but I “twisted her arm”.

So maybe she was right.

I mean, it was a decent movie, but I don’t think the acting was very good (what was Nick Nolte doing?), and it was a bit slow in some parts. The action scenes were very good though. I guess I’ll have to think about it some more. Who would have thought the Hulk would have a tough time with a poodle?

One more thing. Our friend, Mike, had surgery last week, and we just wanted to tell him to get well soon. So…uh…get well soon, Mike!

  1. Anyway…I REFUSE to pay $$$ to see The Hulk. And the Incredible Hulk was my favorite show when I was a little kid.

Nearly every review I’ve read and every person on talk radio I respect that’s spoken about it has nothing but bad things to say. Bad writing, bad acting, bad timing, bad, bad, bad. I know it’s the type of movie that’s best seen on the big screen, but unless I can see it for $1 or $2 at The Byrd in Richmond in a few months I’m waiting until it’s on cable.

  2. Good for you Steve. Brian owes me for dragging me to see The Hulk. The television series was a favorite for both my brother and I and we watched it in Spanish. I have to wait for another Maid in Manhattan style movie and he will HAVE to go.

  3. Monica, I have to agree that Brian owes you a card redeemable for one chick flick of your chosing. I’ve managed to avoid the summer blockbusters so far, though I will see Terminator 3. In fact, the only movie I’ve seen at the theatre recently was Bruce Almighty, which I really liked.
